Snow in Wisconsin

The weather in Wisconsin is perfect for Christmas Eve, if you love snow! I'm watching another 4 to 7 " fall as we get ready for a quiet night before Christmas. It is beautiful, but I'm not sure I'm looking forward to more shoveling!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas in Chicago

As families seem to grow each year, it seems that everyone has more places to be and more people to see during the holidays. So, we celebrated Christmas with Evan, Lisa, Ella, Maia, Michael, as well as Joe and Collette, on the Sunday before Christmas. The girls all opted to see a new movie, The Tale of Despereaux, a tale about a mouse as an unlikely hero. The guys had to stay home and prepare the feast. They also got to watch football while we were gone, so I don't think they felt left out or too put upon! At present opening time, Michael did not seem too upset this time! He certainly seemed to love his Uncle Joe!

Caroling Brunch at North Hills

Our second holiday adventure also took place at North Hills, a Caroling Brunch with Kevin and Kristen. Since Kristen was going to be in Europe for the holidays, we decided to enjoy to a few Christmas carols while celebrating the season with her before she departed.

Santa Brunch at North Hills CC

The holiday season began this year with the annual Santa Brunch at North Hills on the Sunday after Thanksgiving with Evan, Lisa, Ella, Maia and Michael. Joe and Collette joined us for the festivities also. For the first time, Ella and Maia actually sat on Santa's lap. Only Michael screamed when he was put on Santa's lap, but, the elves gave him a present despite his protests!
